Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) is formed by a group of like-minded individuals who wanted to see growth & development in the Malaysian financial planning industry.
2000
FPAM forms an agreement with the CFP Board of Standards Inc. to become the sole licensing authority for the CFP mark in Malaysia
2001
1st ISSOC of 45 was launched
2004
The CFP mark receives recognition from Securities Commission for application of the Capital Market Service Representative License (CMSRL) for Financial Planning
2006
Bank Negara recognizes the CFP mark for application of the Financial Adviser’s Representative (FAR) License
2007
FPAM & IBFIM jointly launched the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) certification to cater for the fast-growing Islamic financial industry
2008
The IFP certification receives recognition for application of both the CMSR and FAR licenses
2009
FPAM marks its 10th year in serving the Malaysian financial planning industry
2012
Attain tier 1 ranking in FPSB assessment

> FPAM celebrates its 15th year anniversary
> The Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) grants full accreditation to the CFP & IFP certification program
